A New Year, A New Start

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

~ Lao Tzu

Hejsan, och gott nytt år alla! Hello, and happy new year to you all!

Today is a big day, as it is the first day of the 2020 decade, and also the day I begin my Nordic heritage and folk art journey with you all! While I have been exploring dalmålning and rosemaling since the summer of 2017, I want to really step up my game this year, and I'm looking forward to seeing where this adventure leads. As this new year dawns, here are some goals that I have for my Kolbitar journey for 2020:

- To improve and expand upon my current folk art skill level.

- To attend a class/classes at the Vesterheim folk art school in Decorah, IA.

- To learn more about the different styles of rosemaling, and be able to paint in multiple styles.

- To launch an online shop for my artwork.

- To post here on "The Mead Hall" blog at least once a week, if not more.

I hope you all enjoy coming along with me on this adventure, and I hope you all have a blessed new year full of beauty and imagination! Lycka till!
